Are you a DIY tuner looking for a little help or a good starting point on a timing map? Or maybe already have a tuned car but want a little more safety as you push it to higher boost? If so this is a good option for you!
As the title entails this is specifically aimed at the Stock Bottom End and Stock Block cars. You have probably read by now that the "magic" behind making a SBE or Stock Block perform well is in the tune, that is why I named this the "magic map". However, there is much more to it than just the tune, but the biggest part of the "magic" in the tune is in the timing map. When you are pushing parts farther than they were designed to be pushed, it is important to try to keep cylinder pressure down. The quickest and easiest way of doing that is with ignition timing.
While the main goal for this is engine safety, another possibility is you could be like the car in the example shown where it had safe timing in the high cylinder pressure areas but was not taking advantage of the lower cylinder pressure areas. With only a timing map and minor other changes (some in which I recommended) the car picked up 6mph and dropped nearly 2 tenths! All while keeping the SBE 6.0 safe!
This is not just a timing map, and it is definitely not the same map for every combo, I will ask a lot of questions in order to make sure this is optimized for your specific combo. I am only offering this service for aftermarket ECUs such as Holley Dominator, HP, Terminator X, and Fueltech, etc. I also do not offer this for pump gas cars, pump gas being pump 91-93 etc. Pump E85 is welcome, as well as nearly every race gas available. This is mostly aimed at turbo cars but could be beneficial for others as well.
